Great article Ryan. This really resonated. Philosophy is certainly a useful tool for figuring out how to live. However, I do feel that taking time to think and reflect on “impractical” things like free will is still useful. Taking time to ask oneself questions, to think, to consider, to dwell on questions that might actually have zero practical value is still valuable. Sharpening the mind, applying logic, and learning how to think more clearly can result from impractical considerations, and thus bring value.
